Former Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz get exposed in Paradise Papers

The names of two Pakistanis, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and former head of the national insurance company Limited Ayaz Khan Niazi, have so far emerged in the new document database, Paradise Papers, published by the International Consortium of Journalists on Sunday night.

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz get exposed in Paradise Papers

The Paradise Papers reveals data from more than 25,000 companies covering 180 countries, from 1950 to 2016.

About 381 investigative journalists from 67 countries worked extensively to bring facts about the Paradise Documents before people. Senior News journalist and ICIJ member Umar Cheema was also part of the team that unearthed the Paradise Papers.

The filtering, which includes 13.4 million documents, comprises a large part of the leaked documents of the company ‘Appleby’. The documents were obtained from two companies in Singapore and Bermuda by a German newspaper and shared with the ICIJ.
