While a number of Malayalam movies are lined up for release over the next two months in Mollywood, this festive season will see five major releases among other films preparing to cash in on the spirit of Eid ul Fitr.
A Prithviraj-Indrajith starrer, Tiyaan is directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar and scripted by Murali Gopy. It is the first Malayalam movie to use live-shot footage of the renowned Kumbh Mela festival. Going by the trailer, the film is about the battle between the good and the evil.
The story of the film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum is actually revolved around four people who meets for the first time in the police station. Hence, movie buffs are eagerly waiting to see this entertaining movie. While debutante Nimisha Sanjayan will be seen as the female lead, Soubin Shahir, Alencier and Suraj Venjaramood play vital roles.
The comedy movie by Rafi with Fahadh Faasil in the lead is all set to hit screens during Ramadan. The movie has Vinayakan, Vinay Forrt, Sharafudheen and Namitha pramod in major roles. It will be interesting to see two major releases of Fahadh at the box office at the same time.
After an unprecedented delay, Asif Ali, Unni Mukundan and Vinay Forrt starter Avarude Ravukal is finally gearing up for release. This film had delayed due to death of the film’s producer, Ajay Krishnan. The film is directed by Shanil Muhammed, who co-directed the 2013 hit Philips and the Monkey Pen.
Oru Cinemakaran is the 25th film by Lj Films, directed by Leo Thaddeus. Starring Vineeth Sreenivasan and Rajisha Vijayan in the lead, the movie revolves around the struggles of an aspiring filmmaker.
